CounteR \u2013 countering radicalisation for a safer worldPrivacy-first situational awareness platform for violent terrorism and crime prediction, counter radicalisation and citizen protection<\/h2>\n <\/div>\n

Privacy-First Situational Awareness Platform for Violent Terrorism and Crime Prediction, Counter Radicalisation and Citizen Protec\u00adtion project will develop and deploy an integrated situational awareness sys\u00adtem that will identify\n radical content online \u2013 informal groupings of radical\u00adisers and vulnerable individuals with potential to be radicalised.<\/p>\n

Under this project, an open platform for analysis and early alert \u2013 the Count\u00adeR solution \u2013 will be launched, collecting and analysing data from dispersed sources in order to predict critical communities at risk of radicalisation and\n violent extremism and aid law enforcement to detect radicalisation processes more easily. <\/p>\n

The CounteR solution\u2019s ultimate goal is to provide law enforce\u00adment agencies (LEAs), Internet providers, and social media platforms with an early-warning tool to be used in the detection of radical content online for preventing the\n spread of radicalisation and, ultimately, life-threatening terrorist attacks. At the same time, CounteR will preserve the content\u2019s pri\u00advacy protection and data anonymization. The system aims at supporting the fight against organised\n crime and terrorism threats and at fostering informa\u00adtion-sharing and collaboration between diverse European agencies in charge of countering radical propaganda, fundraising, recruitment, and planning of terrorist acts.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

AIDA will develop a Big Data Analysis and Analytics framework equipped with a complete set of effective, efficient and automated data mining and analytics solutions to deal with standardised investigative workflows, extensive content\n acquisition, information extraction and fusion, knowledge management and enrichment through novel applications of Big Data processing, Machine Learning, AI and predictive and visual analytics. However, growth is not without risk, especially in cyberspace, in the ubiquity of connected devices and rapid technological change. Criminality is also adapting,\n seeking opportunity and taking on new forms. The CC-DRIVER project seeks to understand the drivers of cybercriminality and researches methods to prevent, investigate and mitigate cybercriminal behaviour.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

CONNEXIONs Project<\/h2>\n <\/div>\n

CONNEXIONs aims to develop and demonstrate next-generation detection, prediction, prevention, and investigation services. These services will be based on multidimensional integration and correlation of heterogeneous multimodal data,\n and delivery of pertinent information to various stakeholders in an interactive manner tailored to their needs, through augmented and virtual reality environments.<\/p>\n

The CONNEXIONs solution encompasses the entire lifecycle of law enforcement operations including:<\/p>\n

Pre-occurrence crime prediction and prevention<\/p>\n

During-occurrence LEA operations<\/p>\n

Post-occurrence investigation, and crime-scene simulation and 3D reconstruction.<\/p>\n

CONNEXIONs will meaningfully enhance operational and (near) real-time situational awareness, through automated identification, interpretation, fusion and correlation of multiple heterogeneous big data sources, as well as their delivery\n via immersive solutions. Such multimodal data include Surface\/Deep\/Dark Web and social media content, data acquired by Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and digital evidence.<\/p>\n

CONNEXIONs will also provide chain-of-custody and path-to-court for digital evidenc<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
